Hi there Beck! Wondered if i could ask you a question (not meaning to pry into your life!) but are you from England living in Australia or are you Australian born and bred? Just wondered as I´m English living in Sweden (hubby´s a Swede incase you wondered..and no I don´t mean the vegetable  ;D) It´s my dream to go to Australia one day and as tacky as it probably sounds...I´d love to hug a Koala!!! Hey! Imagine haveing a pet Koala called Shmoo!..  ;D ...I´ll not get started again...sorry  Hope you don´t mind me asking!?...you can tell me to bog off if you like... Nope you´re not biased (ok maybe a little ) But Shmoo is a GREAT name....I´m telling you , I´d love to get myself a Sausage dog and call it Shmoo! "Shmoo the sausage dog"..sounds cute don´t you think? You must think I´m nuts! Becky |

Hey Becky, no I don't mind you asking. I am Australian born and bred. In fact I have never left these shores. If you want to hug a koala you will need to visit a zoo or some such even here in Australia. They will defend themselves if you get to close in the wild. They have VERY sharp claws and bite too. They are also found at the top of very tall trees.
If you ever do get to Australia you will have to look me up, although Australia is bloody big and you may not visit near me.

Thank you for you really kind reply, we´ll have to see if I can make it to Australia one day...as my husband says "dreams are had so they can become true!" Hey! I'm actually normally a day ahead of you guys. It is currently Tuesday about 3.30 in the afternoon.
You might be able to adopt a wild koala if you like, there are currently money raising drives to save their habitat. Other animals you may want to adopt are kangaroos, wombats, tasmanian devils, platypus', etc ;D. You could call all of them Shmoo - shmookala, shmooroo, shmoobat, etc.
Weekend was busy - babysitting my 3 nephews (5, 3, 1.5 yrs) and next weekend is my youngest sisters wedding. I NEED SLEEP.
