I loved "Guess Who?" The games you get now are like cheap plastic rubbish, not like they were back in the good old days haha. I loved downfall which you still get. I would love to get my hands on a game of "Perfection" which I haven't seen for donkeys years. I dont think they make it now. It was a game where you pushed the baes down and set the timer. You had to get all the shapes into their correct space before the timer ran out or the base popped up and all the shapes jumped out at you! ;D

Some of the people you couldn't put down and some snapped off when you tried to bring them up for a new game

Tiny Tears was a great favourite of mine dring the 1970s.
LOVED my Girls World - she was a brunette - and I though much prettier than the blonde version - she looked a bit like Wonderwoman when she had her make up on. I have still got her!! Although her face is very pink - a bit stained from too much lipstick-rouge!
Also - anyone remember the doll (sindy size) called "Suntan Tuesday" ? - she used to turn brown in the sun!

I had a Tiny Tears in the 80s. My cousins (who were boys!) thought it was hilarious that when you pressed her stomach, she peed in her potty!!!
I had a Girls World too. I also had an updated version called "Little Miss Make-up" which I loved! It was like Girls World where you put makeup on but it was with water and a brush. You wet the brush and wiped it over her face and makeup appeared!!! You used warm water to take it off!!!! It was also a full sized doll with snazzy clothes!!!!
Can't find any links but I loved this!

Go Monkey Go? Is that hwta it was called? In our bedroom, my sister and I had a yellow palm tree with big green leaves at the top and brown monkeys would run up the side, i remember a motor-ie kind of sound in the background! Is that really its name? I never thought it had a name!! It took up a whole corner thought and was very tall for a kids toy!

Takk about a trip down memory lane! I had a few of the stuff mentioned, Barbies, the good old cabage patch kid, sindy, flower fairies, had the spaniel from get a long gang, speak and spell (drove my big sis nuts with the voice on that thing.."now spell -----") had a pink snugglebum (what a name!), a care bear...the one thing I always wanted (for some reason) was the hippo thing from the Wuzzles but I never got him/Her, nor did I get a popple (Wanted the white one)..deprived or what!? Did have a Wrinkles though and a Boglin..God don´t you wish you could just go back in time to those days when you played with all this stuff!

Your right, that is a trip down memory lane!! I wasn't much into dolls when I was younger, although I had some barbies, cabbage patch kids, a glow worm, etc. I really loved playing with lego and also trying to do tricks on a yoyo - never was any good at it. We also played with hula hoops and played games jumping over elasticised strings (can't remember any of the rhymes now though). We also had a rubix cube which we took the stickers off to solve!! I also loved playing with the flat rubix puzzles - in one you had to link the rings and in the other you had to unlink them. What fun times!!! Beck

oooooh! Now I remember one of them, (at least I think it was for elastics..it could have been the skipping rope thing though...you know where 2 pals hold the rope and you jumped, had to see how long you could keep going!?)....Anyways..here´s what I remembered: "Strawberry Shortcake, Apple jam tart, tell me the name of your sweetheart..." And you went through the entire alphabet until you botched up on a letter , then you had to say a boys name beginning with that letter. Those were the days..... I´ll try to think of some more... catch you later Becky

We called it French skipping although I'm not really sure if it originated in France. We did it to Scotland England Ireland Wales inside outside inside out. Normal skipping oh gosh there were loads of songs. Teddy bear teddy bear turn around teddy bear teddy bear touch the ground teddy bear teddy bear climb up the stairs tedy bear teddy bear say your prayers and then we went through the alphabet and whatever letter you stopped on was the initial of your sweetheart. hat that had to do with a tedy bear beats me! Did anyone ever play with 2 tennis balls. Throwing them up against a wall. You had to put them thru your legs and behind your back and stuff too. Always hitting the wall with the ball as you did so?
